Races of Ashen Grey: The Half Blood

The Heirs to the city.

Many believe in this new world of dense and mingling populations half elf half humans are the natural next course in life as they hold on to many of the best traits of their families while others see them as an impure abomination.   Only a few within the royal court know, but as a symbol of peace within the city the King has taken an Elven mistress and even sired a Half-Elf heir.  As this is the king's only child this will become the heir to Ashen Grey one day.  The royal court has felt it necessary to keep this quiet to the point of even possibly hiding the heirs elven half come time for them to be crowed as ruler.  The king and his court hopes that when that time comes the city will be ready for a half elf to rule, but many still have their doubts as to how the public will react.

Mechanics: As per the usually for D&D simply look to the Player's Handbook at the half elves provided there.

Savage Worlds
• Heritage: Some half-elves retain the grace
of their elven parent. Others gain the
adaptability of their human ancestry. A
half-elf may either start with a free Edge of
his choice (as a human), or a d6 in Agility
instead of a d4.
• Low Light Vision: The character’s eyes
amplify light like a cat’s, allowing him to
see in the dark. He ignores attack penalties
for Dim and Dark lighting.
• Outsider: Half-elves aren’t true outsiders
(as per the Hindrance of the same name),
but neither are they ever quite comfortable
around humans or elves as one of their
own, so the effect is the same.
• All half elves gain a natural +2 to Charisma.

Common Knowledge: Given that half elves are most commonly a result of the breeding of high elves and human nobles those such characters may make any check regarding noble courts, proper dedicate, and social hierarchy as common knowledge.  In the rare chance that a lower class half elf is born from a wood elf and human they instead gain the same common knowledge as wood elves.
