A Small Update: Which 12 Systems in 12 Months

So my group of lab rat players suggested that I put a poll up to let anyone who's interested weigh in on which systems we will being learning and reviewing for the upcoming year.  The poll's set along the right of the page and will close 12:00 AM US EST December 26th.  Additionally if there's a system you'd like to see us try out that isn't listed feel free to leave a comment or send a message.  I will say up front that D&D (3.5, 4th, & 5th), Shadowrun, GURPS, Mutants and Masterminds, and obviously Savage Worlds are out of the running as my group and I already know and have ran those systems as well as quite a few others.  So if you suggestion is over looked it's probably because of that fact above anything else.

Edit: A side note, if you are viewing this from a mobile app the poll probably will not show.  Just scroll top the bottom of the page and click the "view web version" link.

  2. I'd ask you to consider COVERT OPS (DWD Studios), a RPG of espionage and military ops. It is inspired by the fast-combat percentile system of STAR FRONTIERS (1982) and some say it's a worthy successor to the old TOP SECRET/S.I. game.

    1. Either BareBones Fantasy or Covert Ops from DwD deserve a looking over at least. Lots of great ideas well implemented to come together as what looks like a pretty cool game.

  3. As to games not on the list, Trail of Cthulhu/Ashen Stars or Esoterrorist (all use the gum shoe system), Maid RPG - a silly little game for one off stupidity, Fiasco - another silly little game for one off stupidity and Qin - a Warring states era game... Suppose Exalted could be bonkers aswell~~~

  6. OD&D, B/X BECMI or Rules Cyclopedia D&D. That or one of the many great OSR games based on them (Swords and Wizardry, Labyrinth Lord, Basic Fantasy RPG, etc.). Lightweight, fun and a totally different game than the 'advanced' or WOTC versions. It's a little tropey, but since it's the original, it's where the tropes actually game from so it just adds to the charm. It's a lot like watching a classic movie.
